This sad little desk sat in my garage for some time until a new client wanted it for her bedroom, YAY!… The desk itself is sold maple and very well made but it had a ton of scratches and had to be sanded down really well…
Here is the much updated version… I had to sand down about 60% of the desk because of all of the surface scratches but by using my orbital sander it didn’t take too long.
I painted it with Benjamin Moore Advance paint. This is a custom grey I had them mix for me that I had used for my daughter’s closet makeover.
The client wanted a clean crisp finish so no distressing…
This paint is self leveling so you have little to no brush strokes.
I love all of the little drawers… I think this would make a great makeup table!
The handles I spray painted with Rustoleum Chrome spray… LOVE how they turned out!
This is a great sized desk for just about any room and I know my client just loved how it turned out! Hope you like it too…
Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time…

Oh, wow. What a nice job!!! Great color and the handles are beautiful. Your craftsmanship shows in every inch.
This so much! I do love the Chrome spray paint for the handles… It jazzes them up a bit!
what a pretty and unique desk!
The is Sharon.. I just love all of the cubbies it has!
That’s a great desk. Love the little door compartment on the left. It turned out beautifully! I just saw some new Benjamin Moore colors I want to try out, so I’m going to try that self-leveling Advantage line you’ve been talking about.
Thanks Deb! I think you will really like the paint! I haven’t used it to distress, although I’m sure it would behave fine, but I really do like the results I get with it!
What a gorgeous desk – love all the details – and the color is just gorgeous !!!
Thanks so much Suzan! I love all of the little cubbies too!
