Hospital Hospitality House SAVOR Event

I don’t have companies mailing me products for free so I can blog about them.. which is a HUGE blogging perk (I am a little envious of those bloggers who do).. but I do get this one little perk from being married to my super awesome husband (SAH)! You see he is a member of the board of directors for Hospital Hospitality House (located here in Richmond, VA) and they have a few fund-raising events a year that I (as a super awesome spouse) am lucky enough to get to attend with him.. As part if the lead up to this event we were recently invited to a “private reception for Richmond’s culinary elite, wine professionals, media and sponsors” to meet Chef Dino Jagtiani, who is the owner/chef of Temptation and Rare Restaurants in St. Maarten. The HHH hosts this “SAVOR” event every year to help raise funds for the “House”. They bring in visiting chefs who prepare a delicious five course meal… with wine pairings! They also have silent and live auctions with some seriously incredible donated trips and treasures! The chef’s that they have booked for the 2012 event so far are Chef Dino Jagtiani, Temptation Restaurant, St. Maarten, Chef Franck Mear, Le Pressoir, St. Maarten, Chef Mario Tardif, Mario’s Bistro, St. Maarten, Chef Walter Bundy, LeMaire, Jefferson Hotel, Richmond, Chef Patrick Ehemann, TJ’s, Jefferson Hotel, Richmond… what a phenomenal group of chefs!

The event we just attended was graciously hosted by Kitchen Designworks (KDW) and their showroom is so gorgeous, I would LOVE to “work” there! They had fabulous appetizers, sushi and wine setup in a few of their vignettes. I’ll share with you the pictures I took with my cell phone… I was not planning on writing a post or taking pictures, but you’ll get the drift!

If you would like to learn more about the HHH and the wonderful resource they provide to families in need please hop on over to their website. While you are there check out their upcoming events tab. I will tell you this SAVOR event is not one you will want to miss! It’s a night to dress up, have fun, eat fabulous food and support a wonderful cause at the same time.. what more could you want! Oh yeah, you might even bring home some auction items!

The “stove” below is why I shamelessly whipped out my phone and started “snapping” away!

How would you like to have this Viking in your home? Umm..yes please…

This is my FAVORITE refrigerator of all time… but I now know that I don’t keep the inside of my fridge clean enough to have a glass door on it.. but I WANT to, I REALLY want to… doesn’t that count for something?

I love this little buffet area.. check out those cabinets that flank the clock… I need to remember that idea…

This was one of the vignettes setup, I WISH I had gotten a picture of the island.. ‘cause it was blue (like Duck Egg blue) with a thick wood top… it was GORGEOUS!!!

So I got to mingle with some very cool people and I got a sneak peek at what to expect at the upcoming SAVOR event..  it is always so much fun and last year the event raised about $150,000 for the Hospital Hospitality House.. AMAZING!

Thanks for stopping by…

Until next time!

  1. Kitchen showrooms are like runway fashion shows. The best of the best of all sorts of wonderful things, that we can knock-off and get the same feeling in what we do on a reasonable budget. I LOVE the yellow stove!!!
