Vintage Writing Desk

This sad little desk sat in my garage for some time until a new client wanted it for her bedroom, YAY!… The desk itself is sold maple and very well made but it had a ton of scratches and had to be sanded down really well…

BEFORE

Here is the much updated version… I had to sand down about 60% of the desk because of all of the surface scratches but by using my orbital sander it didn’t take too long.

AFTER

I painted it with Benjamin Moore Advance paint. This is a custom grey I had them mix for me that I had used for my daughter’s closet makeover.

The client wanted a clean crisp finish so no distressing…

This paint is self leveling so you have little to no brush strokes.

I love all of the little drawers… I think this would make a great makeup table!

The handles I spray painted with Rustoleum Chrome spray… LOVE how they turned out!

This is a great sized desk for just about any room and I know my client just loved how it turned out! Hope you like it too…
